API’s Kim Nelson, VP Nanocellulose Technology, served as the Industrial Mentor for a team at NREL who received funding to participate in the DOE’s Energy I-Corps program for commercialization training for a nanocellulose-based, plastic-like, water- and biodegradable film that they have developed.  Energy I-Corps pairs National Lab researchers with industry mentors for an intensive two month training where the researchers define their technology value propositions, conduct customer discovery interviews, and develop viable market pathways. The NREL team included Principle Investigator Peter Ciesielski, Co-PI Ruoran Zhang, and Entrepreneurial Lead David Robichaud.  Congratulations to the NREL team for a great culmination video.
